Verdict
For people who run everything from their phone, iPhone included, and want Trezor’s biggest, brightest display. For holding coins long term, a Safe 3 or Safe 5 does the same core job for less.
iPhone and Android
The Safe 7 pairs with Trezor Suite over Bluetooth, which means an iPhone can send, sign and trade. That is something the Safe 3 and Safe 5 cannot do: on an iPhone they only let you track, buy and receive.
The link only carries transactions. Your keys stay on the device, and every send is approved on the Safe 7’s own screen. You can switch Bluetooth off and use USB-C instead whenever you like.
Build
Milled from a single block of aluminium, with Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and a glass back.
Security
The other Safe models use one secure chip; the Safe 7 uses three: the TROPIC01, an Optiga chip certified to EAL6+ and an STM32U5. The thinking is that a weakness at one supplier should not be enough to reach your secrets.
Trezor also calls the Safe 7 “quantum-ready”: it checks its own bootloader and firmware with a post-quantum signature scheme (SLH-DSA-128). In June 2026 Trezor disclosed a lab attack on the TROPIC01 and said it gives no access to your PIN, funds or backup.
Compare
The big difference is Bluetooth and the iPhone. The rest is comfort.

Same price, and both work with an iPhone over Bluetooth. Ledger goes for E Ink, Trezor for colour and open code. More in Trezor vs Ledger.

Honest take
If you mostly hold for the long term and rarely send, the Safe 7 charges you for convenience you will seldom use. Your keys are just as well shielded by the certified chip in a Safe 3.

Yes. It is the only Trezor that works fully with Trezor Suite on an iPhone over Bluetooth: sending, signing and trading. With the Safe 3 and Safe 5 an iPhone can only track, buy and receive.
Your keys never travel over Bluetooth: the connection only passes transactions to the device, and you approve them on the Safe 7’s screen. If you would rather not use it, switch Bluetooth off and connect by USB-C.
Trezor uses a 330 mAh LiFePO4 battery and says it handles four times as many charge cycles as a standard lithium cell. When it is flat, the Safe 7 simply runs on power from the USB-C cable.
The Safe 7 verifies its bootloader, firmware and authenticity with a post-quantum signature (SLH-DSA-128). That protects the device’s own software; whether coins such as bitcoin adopt such signatures is up to those networks.
It is rated IP54, meaning dust and splash resistant. That covers rain or a spilled drink, not submersion.
