The Official Trump (opens in a new tab) token, TRUMP, is a meme coin built around the name and image of Donald Trump. It was created on Solana on 17 January 2025 and now also exists on TRON. There is no product or service behind it: what you buy is a token you can hold, send or trade.
The website that presents it is run by Fight Fight Fight LLC, a company owned by Celebration Cards LLC. According to the site, Fight Fight Fight and CIC Digital LLC, which it describes as an affiliate of The Trump Organization, together own 80% of the supply. CIC Digital and Celebration Cards also receive revenue from trading in the token, and Celebration Cards uses Trump's name and likeness under a limited licence.
The small print is unusually direct. The makers describe TRUMP as "an expression of support for, and engagement with" the ideals behind the symbol and its artwork, and say it is not intended to be an investment opportunity or a security of any type. It has no payment function and cannot be redeemed for goods, services or cash. The site also states that it is not political and has nothing to do with any campaign.
Supply runs to a timetable. Of the maximum of 1 billion tokens, 200 million could be traded from day one, split equally between a liquidity pool and public distribution. The other 800 million were locked for the creators and CIC Digital and are released bit by bit over 36 months. In an update dated 15 July 2026, the makers put the unlocked share at about 67% and said that less than 9.6% of the total supply could be deployed or sold in the months ahead.
For the EU market, a MiCA white paper for TRUMP dated November 2025 was drawn up by the Liechtenstein exchange LCX rather than by the token's makers, and it states that no competent authority has approved it.
Insiders selling into the market can push the price down, and the makers themselves warn that buyers can lose everything they spend on TRUMP.
